Explore your love of paper and the freedom of creating something entirely your own. In this hands-on workshop, local artist Cynthia Lorenz will guide participants through the playful and personal process of making a zine — a small, folded, expressive booklet that captures your ideas, memories, and inspirations in visual form.
We’ll start with simple prompts to help spark your concept — drawing from personal interests, favorite activities, cherished memories, seasons, or trips. Then you’ll experiment with collage, assemblage, drawing, and even a bit of hand-sewing to bring your mini publication to life.
Zines invite freedom — there are no rules, just possibilities. Whether you come with a fully formed idea or just a little spark, you’ll learn how to feel the idea, shape it, and turn it into something tangible.
This class is open to all experience levels, especially beginners who want to explore creativity in a relaxed and supportive space. All materials are included — just bring your curiosity and your stories.
