Bee’s Knees Week
Join us for our second year of participating in Bee’s Knees Week!
The Bee’s Knees became a popular prohibition-era drink in America even though the origins are claimed to be tied to Austria and Paris where the acclaimed unsinkable Molly Brown, whom survived the Titanic in 1912, made the drink a trendy option for consumers. Slang for ‘the best’, bar tenders added honey and fresh lemon to mask the flavor of cheaply made gin.
We will have three delicious options for you to chose from September 20 – 29:
Bee’s Knees
Barr Hill gin • honey syrup • fresh lemon
Cat’s Pajamas
Barr Hill Tom Cat (barrel aged) • honey syrup • fresh lemon
Bee’s Teas
Lemon tea • honey syrup • fresh lemon
For every cocktail ordered and posted about, Barr Hill (Caledonia Spirits; VT) will plant 10 sq/ft of new pollinator habitat to keep our pollinators populous for generations to come.
